Hi, I’m Sophie.

I'm a vinyasa and yin yoga teacher, and The Zen Siren is my one-woman labor of love.

I trained at Pure Yoga and YogaRenew, and found my grounding at The Bhakti Center. My classes reflect my training: vinyasa that builds real heat and strength, and yin that lets you actually slow down — long, spacious holds where your nervous system finally gets to exhale.

I care a lot about sequencing that makes sense in your body, cues that work whether it's your first class or your five-hundredth, and rooms where nobody feels like they don't belong. That's true whether I'm teaching a studio class midtown, leading a session in a conference room, or rolling out mats for our free Wednesday community class in Chinatown.

If you leave feeling a little more grounded, a little more joyful, and a little more like yourself — that's the whole job.

Why "The Zen Siren"?

Honestly? I've loved mermaids since I was a kid. And when I was naming this thing, "zen" and "siren" just sounded right together.

But the name stuck for a better reason. A siren's song is a call you can't ignore — and that's what practice became for me. Not an escape from my busy New York life, but the thing that kept calling me back to it: to my breath, my body, the people on the mats next to mine.

That's what I want The Zen Siren to be for you. A call worth answering — whether that's a Monday evening flow after work, a free Wednesday class in Chinatown, or just ten quiet minutes of breathing with your coworkers. Everyone's welcome. Come as you are.
